Trío Nostalgias was formed as a way savoir and go back to traditional Latin American music. Trio Nostalgia recreates, recuperates, and explores the romantic Bolero mixed in with Afro-Caribbeans rhythms. It will be a night to remember!
The Trio is formed by Lucas Quintana, of California, of Cuban descent. Lucas studied piano in Puerto Rico where he lived for many years. He never forgot his Cuban roots and you can hear that in his musical style. He has been influenced by artists such as Ernesto Lecuona, Rubén González, Bebo and Chucho Valdez,
Daniel Durham is originally from Austin, Texas . He chose to play the bass from a young age. He is well known in the city for his big talent and taste for Jazz music but his passion is in Latin American music.
Luis Angel Ibáñez, was born and raised in Mexico City. His musical career started when he was young. At the age of 13 he was already playing the guitar on local television for a children’s show. He has been residing in Austin for many years where he has given his whole life to music. Over the last 25 year he has had the satisfaction of sharing his talents in many stages including Japan, France, Germany and Cuba among other places.
