Milonga traspie, get that rhythm into your body, and learn some fun steps

Valses que nos invitan a flotar (Waltzes that invite us to float)

“JaviTango” is no stranger to the local community. For years now, he has been coming and has cultivated a strong following due to his excellent classes, personal attention to students, and fantastic sense of humor! He is truly a guide and a friend.

Javier Rochwarger lives–and dances–in his home city of Buenos Aires. He has taught here in Austin and elsewhere in the U.S., Japan and Spain almost annually over the past 25 years. Our community has learned so much from his warmly intense and generous teaching. He is one of Buenos Aires’s generation of tango instructors who learned early on from the old milongueros, most of whom are no longer with us. We’ve come to love him not only for the the authenticity of his teaching, but also for exceptional personal attention that he provides even in group classes, his patience, and warm sense of humor.
