About the Reinier Fernández: Reinier “El Animal” is a distinguished Cuban dancer, instructor, and choreographer specializing in his country’s popular and folkloric dances. Since relocating to Mexico City in 2002, he has dedicated over two decades to promoting Cuban culture through dance. He is the founder and general director of the dance academy CMV con Ritmo, established in 2014, and co-founder of the Salsa Casino Mayan Congress, an international congress held annually in Cancún since 2010.

Throughout his career, Reinier has conducted workshops and participated in dance congresses across countries such as Germany, Canada, the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, and Cuba. His company has garnered multiple accolades in national and international competitions, solidifying its status as one of the most influential groups in the Cuban casino and popular dance scene in Mexico.

In addition to his work with CMV con Ritmo, Reinier has served as a professor of Art and Culture at Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City and co-director of community projects like Family Project. His teaching approach is characterized by creativity, leadership, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and enriching environment.
